Don’t get me wrong, the Instant Pot is not actually magic. And, frankly, it isn’t very “instant”! You still need to prepare your ingredients by washing and chopping. Then, wait for your Instant Pot to warm up.
lso, you might need to saute some of the aromatics, to start. After the cooking time is over, you’ll also be waiting for the pressure to release. So, as you can see… not so “instant”!
Do vegan recipes made in the Instant Pot taste good?
Everything I’ve made in my Instant Pot comes out super flavorful, tender, and delicious! The herbs, spices, and liquids all blend together perfectly with whatever pasta, starch, or legume I’ve decided to use. And yes, they’ve been vegan! So, Instant Pot recipes without meat are delicious.
I admit, when I first got my Instant Pot I was a little intimidated by it. I didn’t grow up with my Mom using a pressure cooker so I really didn’t know anything about it, or what to expect. I really didn’t want to blow up my kitchen. Even after reading the instructions, I was still a little reluctant!

And the best advice to get familiar with your Instant Pot is to get started and make your first meal in it!
Trust me, once you make your few first recipes, you’ll be super comfortable. You’ll especially want to read the section on Natural vs. Manual Pressure Release, as I found that to be really helpful!
